First time to Paris

Hi... my husband and I are heading over to Paris with my father in law next month, and we were wondering if anyone has any ideas as to where we can find some cheap travel tours from Paris to Normandy? Also, does anyone know of any special deals we can get to visit the Louvre?

Thanks,
Swee

Not really any special deals for the Louvre, other than it is included in the Paris Museum Pass, if that interests you.

Couple of tour companies for the Normandy visit:
Parisvision
Cityrama Paris
Most hotels have their brochures in the lobby

Another quick question... any restaurants/local places that are fairly cheap to eat?

Thanks!

We loved Hugo's in Place des Vosges. Cheap, great food and perfect location. You can read about it in lots of sites.

Hmmmm, I should say reasonable, when we were there last year the Euro was $1.44!

The Louvre has a reduced rate of 6 Euro on Wednesday and Friday evenings, from 6:00 to 9:45, good for everything but the Hall Napoleon. It's free the first Sunday of the month (as are many other museums) but will be very crowded then.

Where in Normandy did you want to go. Some places you can get to on your own and then hook up with tours. Rouen, Caen, Bayeux are all accessible by train from Paris.
