Finse, Norway
Has anyone been to Finse, Norway? I've been viewing their webcam for a few weeks and know that there supposedly are no roads to that location, but I'm seeing SUVs there instead of just off-road vehicles. Can anyone enlighten me?

There is no road - you get there by train on the line between Oslo and Bergen. You could stay at the hotel and do a glacier tour with guides from there - http://finse1222.no/en/
If you've seen cars there then it's probably a publicity stunt. They could have arrived on the train. There is a path, Rallarveien, that's a popular cycle route - might be possible for a SUV, but definitely not allowed.

Rallarvegen is mainly for cyclists now. As a car user you may make cautious use of rallarvegen, but you'll need serious driving skills.

Thanks menachem and dyoll. I've seen the train workers use SUVs and an occasional local I assume. It will be snowing soon so I'm sure everyone will be back to their off-road vehicles. I have not been able to see any freight trains stop at Finse, only passenger trains. Brave souls who must drive the bike trails!

Driving Rallarveien would only be by special permit - presumably for railway maintenance. You are not allowed to drive off-road in Norway. You can see the track on StreetView driven on snow scooter, but again this would only be by permit - you are not allowed to use snow scooter in Southern Norway except by permit.
