I have been worried that we were gonna make it all the way to Rome and miss this great tour. I sent an email the first of May and only got an acknowledgement. Sent another 3 weeks ago and got another, but different, acknowledgment. We leave in 18 days, so I figured we were not chosen, but Voila! Saturday morning, there it is!

Any last minute advice?? Is it hard to figure out the gas pumps over there? How about the toll roads? (We're 4 days in Roma, 7 in Siena w/car & 3 in Venice.)

Thanks for all the past advice you guys gave me in order to plan this trip. We are all pumped for this trip!

What site does one go to to get reservations forn the Scavi Tour? We are going to Rome in October and would like to do it?

I would do this right away. If you give them a few days to choose from, you'll have a better chance. Be sure to specify that you want the English tour, and of course how many are in your party.
