Vatican Tour Question again!

I've tried MANY times to fax a tour request to the Vatican Museum requesting a tour date. The fax number I have used is 011390669885100. Each time I receive a message saying "Error - Try again to make sure the recipient's fax machine is ready to receive faxes." I have tried at all different times of day and night. Any suggestions??

why not email the request? Many of us have done that with no issues? And especially since your attempt at faxing has not been successful.

Hi there

Are you sure your code is correct
is not not just 0039 for Italy and then 06 for Rome?

I have spent days trying to fax through too - I got a 'confirmed' fax sent this morning from my machine... I faxed 00 39 06 69885100

I didn't know there was an e mail? Site only gives the fax no??

MAMIL,

Any luck yet? I checked the fax I sent, and I used the exact same number as you list -- with the 011 for international access, etc....

How about trying a new fax machine?

I've been faxing for almost a week -- different fax machines, different times of day and keep getting errors too. 01139669885100 is the number I've been calling, with several variations thereof.

Any ideas? Thanks so much.

I tried faxing all day Monday, to no avail, it either rang busy, or just rang with no answer. Tried again Tuesday morning (8:30 am est), and it went through on the first try. Best advice is to just keep trying...

Can someone tell me what the email is to request this tour? I didn't realize you could email someone for this. Thanks!

Will the Vatican Museum only accept reservation requests for the guided tour a month or less prior to your visit. I'm planning to visit in July so would it be too soon for me to try to reserve now? That's what it seems to say on the site but I was still a bit unclear. Thanks!

Is there a particular form you would suggest using?

No form is needed. Just provide the details: full names, time of the tour you'd like (but I'd be flexible) and an English guide.

I faxed my request (well, my hotel in Rome did) a month ago for my visit in October.
