Ferry from Venice to Rovinj/Pula
Hello,
I'm interested in taking a ferry from Venice to Rovinj (preferably, but Pula if necessary) and back again over the first weekend in September (out Fri 5 Sept - back Mon 8 Sept), but I'm finding it very difficult to find any concrete information about ferry times, etc. Can anyone recommend a reliable site?
TIA.
And for anyone interested in solving a puzzle - we're actually travelling from Geneva (Switz) to Rovinj for a wedding on the weekend in question, but can't seem to find a decent route. Flying is very expensive, involves at least 2 stops on average and can take hours/days. Driving would take too long and we can't go for longer owing to babysitting commitments. Which is why we're keen to look into ferries from/to Venice. Anyone any ideas??
Thanks!

Try www.flybaboo.com for flights to Venice and then you might be able to make the 17.00 ferry to Porec, which costs 57 euro. There is no ferry on the monday so you would have to take the bus or bus and train via Trieste to Venice.
www.bahn.de is the train site but the journey is very long.

We had a similar problem and were finally able to book thru a British company, AFerry to Booking. E-mail is [email protected] or you can call then @ 44 (0)870 4580 401.
We're going from Rovinj to Venice and it's E121 for 2 upgraded seats. Good luck.

Thanks a lot for the help. Will have a look at those sites. We're now beginning to think that imposing on our babysitters and extending our break might be our best bet. Not sure if our babyitters will agree...
Thanks!
Thanks!

There's also Commodore Travel of Pula who have a vessel named DORA. The website still has last year's schedule but I believe they will be operating this year as well.

This info may be coming a bit late, but we just took the ferry yesterday from Venice to Rovinj (sitting now in our little apartment, overlooking the harbor). We took Venezia Lines (link above) and it was a pleasant journey. Cost was about 126 Euro for 2 people and the boat seems to leave daily at about 5pm. We got in 1 hour later than the timetable promised, though, just FYI (8:30 rather than 7:30PM).

To Overbeck....Can you recommend the apartment you stayed in in Rovinj? If so, what is its name? We are planning to spend 3 days there in September. Can you recommend any other places there? Thanks. Waterlily2
