Ferry Cruise of Med Sea

We would like to tour/cruise the Med Sea by ferry. We want to hit Elba, Corcisa, Sardinia, Tunis, Algers and Mallora. We hope to go in May, so out of season but still nice weather and not worry about accommodations until we hit land. Any advice on how to hit these places? Thanks.

Please don't hit them, that will hurt. But seriously, not knowing where you are coming from or how much time you have, it is difficult to help much. There are many ferry websites-- such as www.ferrylines.com (google will give you a good start)--where you can start piecing together your itinerary. However, some of the May schedules may not be currently available. You will likely not be taking a direct island to island route, but rather returning to land in many cases.

What a wonderful idea! I love ferry travel in the Med and have done many of the routes over the years, but never thought about taking a good chunk of time to do more than one at a time.

I highly recommend the overnight from Naples to the Aeolians - waking up to see the dark slopes of Stromboli silently gliding by my porthole before daybreak was a thrill. And if you're going to Tunis, Malta and Gozo are a worthwhile add-on.

Uh, your welcome? I gave you some input--including a website where you can find the many ferry options--and made some inquiries for more information so that you could get more help. What more do you want from people when you are not willing to do a modicum of legwork on your own.
