Ferries Sorrento to Positano and Naples to Ischia

Ferries Sorrento to Positano and Naples to Ischia
Hello!
My husband and I will be in Campania in mid-July. We will be making a day trip from Sorrento to Positano on Saturday, July 14 and we are planning to take the ferry because I've read that the SITA can be extremely full and sometimes difficult to even board during July. It looks like ferries between Sorrento and Positano are not frequent, but will work. We are spending the night on Ischia on Sunday, July 15 and will be taking the ferry from Naples. Since this is a weekend in the middle of peak season, should I purchase tickets to either of these ferries in advance or am I fine to wait until I am there?
