In heading to Naples, as well as the 11 Italo Treno trains, another reason for using Tiburtina might be the 14 hourly Freccia Rossas (at 26 minutes past each hour, from 08:26 to 21:16), and 6 or so other services, that Trenitalia will be operating from June 9th onwards?
Sidestepping the "drive-in, reverse-out" arrangements at Termini was, after all, the purpose for which they redeveloped Tiburtina station!

>>>It's often faster and cheaper to get the ordinary train (same station at FCO as the Leonardo Dawdler, but every 15 minutes) to Rome's Tiburtina station<<<
The local train (FR1) departs every 15 minutes and travel time to Tiburtina is about 45 minutes (8€). I believe Italorail sells discounted tickets (if still available) until departure time where Trenitalia requires a 24 hour advance purchase for discounts.
If your destination is Salerno, there is a bus from FCO to Salerno. The time may not work for you. It departs at 3:20.

Taxi from the airport to Rome (should include either train station) is a set fee of 48€ (4 people including luggage).

Should anyone be considering that Buonocore bus from FCO to Salerno, perhaps worth noting that - until 14th June - it only operates on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays....
Then, between Monday 17th June and Saturday 14th September, it's daily EXCEPT for Sundays and public holidays.
