dabodin, is there a patisserie next door? the fromagerie is in front of the Hotel Lutece
We loved walking out the door of the hotel to the cheese shop, next door to the bakery then down the street to Berthillon..you never have to leave the Ille if you are hungry

I am once again returning to Paris is late February for four days staying in the Hotel de Nice by the Hotel de Ville (an excellent little hotel).

Has anyone any suggestions for unusual, good quality, good value for money, restaurants in that area, including the Isle St Louis.

I have been to Taverne au Sergent Recruteur twice, but want to explore other places!

Thanks for your help, in anticipation!

Hi Everyone. Am enjoying reading all these wonderful tips in anticipation of our next Paris trip.

We have decided to stay on the Ile this time in either the Hotel Lutece or Hotel des Deux-Iles. Haven't decided which one as they both look very similar and I understand have the same owner.

Anyone here have a preference? Please post if you do.

Thank you.

I have stayed at the Lutece only. Some who have stayed at both hotels don't have a preference while others favor the Lutece more. From what I understand the Deux Iles' rooms are a bit smaller than the Lutece's.
