Favorite hotel, villa, farm, castle...in Italy

I'm sure this has been done before, but for selfish reasons I would like to start it up again. Names and Website, if possible, would be greatly appreciated by all. Thanks Laura

We stayed two nights at CastelBigozzi -outside of Monteriggioni -- the views were perfect, the room was wonderful with a TREMENDOUS bathroom with a jacuzzi tub.

We have stayed at Villa Vignamaggio in Greve and loved the apt. we had at the villa as well as the area. It was very spacious and had beautiful views. Centrally located between Florence and Siena.

I have several places:
1) Locanda San Vigilio on Lake Garda - wonderful 800 year old abby directly on the lake, great restaurant! (www.punta-sanvigilio.it)
2)Le Sirenuse, Positano - Beautiful!
3)Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni - directly on Lake Como in Bellagio, old world grand hotel & spa!

We loved Villa Il Poggiale in San Casciano, about 17km outside of Florence in Chianti. It was a great location for touring, the staff is excellent, and the property is beautiful. We had an apartment (#19) that was terrific. Check out www.villailpoggiale.it
