Favorite fine art websites?
I'm always looking for the works of a particular painter when I travel, and a website called the Artchive was a great help in pointing me in the right direction. It's a fun site with links aplenty to online images.
Do you know of another website that lists or links to special exhibits and permanent collections for museums around the world?

Whenever I Google a painting or an artist,
http://gallery.euroweb.hu
will come up in one fashion or another.
And I think that it's quite comprehensive.
Most museums have their websites. If I need to locate a piece that's at a specific museum, I use that website. If that fails, I Google.

Burlington Magazine features a pretty complete list of art exhibitions:

someone recently mentioned seeing a Bernini's painting, (being surprised he also painted) here you can see them.

I don't have much to add, except that I also use all the above websites mentioned.
I also check individual museums' websites and look at their permanent collection and also current/future exhibitions.
On my recent trip, there are 2 more websites I found useful (but only applies to Dutch & Flemish art and Vermeer):
http://www.codart.nl/
Very comprehensive website showing where all the Dutch & Flemish paintings are located in the world. Plus current exhibitions.
http://www.essentialvermeer.com/
Also a very comprehensive website, on Vermeer mainly. It lists the locations of all Vermeer's paintings, as well as any exhibitions on Vermeer's or his contemporaries.
