Yes, I like the sheer paganism of the Sheela-na-gigs as well -- especially as they are sometimes at the top of the arch on the entrance to the church, place of honor

I get sort of tired of the big churches, same as I do the castles. However, small synagogues really emotionally move me. It has to do with the history. They are not expressions of glory, but quiet litttle spiritual places.

There is a very unique synagogue in Toledo, Spain built in 1203 in the Mudejar style. It is unique in the fact that it is a Jewish synagogue built in a Moorish (Muslim) style with a Christian name: "Santa Maria la Blanca".
