Fast-track tickets from TFL's Travel Information Centres?

Check out the fourth bullet on the link below - where it says 'Fast-track admission tickets to some of London's most popular tourist attractions, such as The Tower of London and Madam Tussauds'

http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tickets/wheret...kets/1082.aspx

Does anyone have a list of attractions and costs?

(BTW denise8101214 has been after me to write a Trip Report when I get back, I will, I will!)

Fast-track tickets

"There are fast-track tickets for many of the Capital's most popular attractions, including Madame Tussauds, the Tower of London, Kensington Palace, The London Dungeon, Hampton Court Palace, London Zoo and Windsor Castle."

Really how many other attractions can you think of where you would need to hassle with fast-track tickets in London? Well the London Eye perhaps i guess but i've rarely seen long lines at other places that i can recall now. And i think even Kensington Palace, hampton Court and the Zoo IME rarely have long lines at ticket windows

Q- how much extra does a 'fast track' ticket from TFL cost?

thanks for posting this.

Palenque, I'm sorry, I can't read your intent. Is your query 'Really how many other attractions can you think of where you would need to hassle with fast-track tickets in London?' sarcastic or are you also looking for the information since you did post a question at the end and thanked me.

Did you find out any more info on this, Feldie? Which attractions are you thinking of going? IME, the only places that have long lines are Tower of London and perhaps Windsor Castle; both of which can be overcome by arriving early.

Hi yk, no, I didn't, and I wrote to them too. My guess is its the London Pass. I'm doing the Daysoutguide route. We'll just arrive early for most of the popular places - Tower, Westminster, etc. My aching knees won't be happy, I don't do well standing. I pace to keep the pain at bay. Ah the joys of getting old. Viva Aleve.

BTW just saw Traviata w/Marina Poplavskaya. OMG she is good, watch for her!

When I lived in London, whenever I went past Madam Tussaud's there was always a long queue.

Hi Feldie, never heard of Poplavskaya before, but I just read the rave review in the LA times. Looks like she's now a regular at Covent Garden. I'll keep my eyes out for her.

When are you heading to London?

Feldie - yes like yk i think there are very few places where ticket queues are anything to bother about - yes Madame Tussaud's and the London Planetarium next door they run - the Eye Over London at times - Buckingham Palace in August at times and Windsor and Tower. That's it - i was asking if there were any i'd overlooked.

We walked past the ticket queues for the Tower last Sunday at about 11am and they were very long. London Walks do a guided walk there which means you get the group rate to go in, plus the guide gets the tickets, not you. We really enjoyed the guided walk, have done a few of them now. It started near the Tower Hill tube station (to gather everyone together) and most of it was just outside or inside the Tower, then you could stay on inside for as long as you wanted.

13 days after I submitted my email I get this:

Dear Feldie

Thank you for your email. I am very sorry for the delay in responding to you.

Please see the link below for more information on the Fast track access tickets.

http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tickets/wheret...tres/1084.aspx

I do not have a comprehensive list of the products on offer at the TICs. You will need to visit one of the offices for this information and for ticket prices.

For more information on the location of the Travel Information Centers, please select the link below.

I hope the information I have provided has been helpful. Feel free to contact me should you have any future queries.
Kind Regards

I am finding that about 50% of the emails I send out take over a week to reply. I'm not going to chase this one down.

the one time I sent an email inquiry to TFL about some specific calculations of Oyster fare, I got a reply the next day saying that they would forward it to the Oyster dept. I received an email from that dept 2 months later. However, they did give me a definitive answer. I guess they must be very busy.
