Farmstays in Tuscany
My husband and I are planning a trip to Tuscany this fall and we're trying to find a nice farmstay for our trip. We'd love to stay at a place that serves great food fresh from the farm (what could be better than that!?). Nice, quiet, comfortable rooms with private bathrooms would be nice, too. Since we've never been to Tuscany before, it would also be nice to stay in a central location which isn't too far from pretty walks, sights, cute trattorias, etc.
So far, I have found these farmstays (listed below) and I'd LOVE to hear any feedback on any of these places. They all seem perfect over the Internet, but I'm also a little skeptical since I've never been there.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Il Poggiarello Ripa, Chianti
VIlla Nottola, near Moltepulciano
Casafrassi, Chianti
Poggiarello, in Chianti
Borgo Il Poggiaccio, in Chianti
Borgo Iesolana, in Chianti

It would be worth your while to go over to www.slowtrav.com and check out their reviews. It's a great website for just this kind of thing!

My wife and I just stayed at Locanda Rosati in Orvieto, while not in Tuscany, it's right next door.
I can't speak highly enough about the place, we plan on spending a week there very soon.

Agree, slowtrav is an excellent resource for vacation rentals. But it sounds like Melitin may be looking for an agriturismo, not necessarily a self catering apartment or villa. Does anyone know of good online resources for agriturismi? (Would be great to file away for future reference, thanks!)
