Experience with car service "Paris Cab" and others that have carseats?
Hi
We're traveling with a preschooler and infant without our carseats so I wanted to book a service that would have car seats from CDG to our apt in Paris. [We plan on taking public transportation and walking so we are not lugging our carseats from the US.}
It's my understanding that we probably wouldn't be able to find a taxi at the stand outside CDG that has carseats. Has anyone used Paris Car (website- http://pariscab.com/index.htm). They seem pricey, but I like that they provide carseats. If anyone has another car/taxi service that provides carseats for babies and preschoolers, I'd love to hear them. Thanks.

Do not bother with a company no one has heard of.. G7 taxis are always well recommended and have carseats .. and the operators speak english.
G7
You must book as they only have some "family taxis"
You can call them to book ( they do speak english)
33(0)1 41 27 66 99
website( click on top right flag for english..
Top bar.. click on "Discover a Service" Scroll down.
go to "Family Taxi"
www.taxig7.fr/

The law in the whole of Europe is that taxi passengers are exempt from having to use child seats. The law says that if child seats are used they are in three sizes* so if you manage to find a service ensure they bring the correct size for your child/children.
*The size of the seat relates to both the hight and age of the child.

Try http://shuttle-inter.com I have no personal experience but they are often recommended in forums and I know people who have used and continue to use them. They do NOT require prepayment.

I have used shuttle-inter,, twice,, and they were absolutely fine.. but as far as I can see they do not offer a carseat for an infant( different then boosters but all parents know that !)
G7 also does not require prepayment... I personally would not use any service that does, I have read too many stories of cars from services showing up very late or not at all.. and refunds being impossible to get " the driver says he was there and you were not",..
While carseats are not required in taxis I think one is crazy not to use them... and frankly that goes with planes too . We always bought our kids seats on planes and used their carseats.. at least when they were infants. Taking the baby carseat makes so much sense anyways.. somewhere to sit the baby and feed it etc... a safe clean place to put baby while getting ready etc( hotel floors are filthy.. even if they look clean)

As justine has noted, the very best option is Taxi G7 (though Taxis Bleus also have taxis with carseats). Just call them in advance to arrange for a taxi with carseats and get in the Special Pickup taxi line at the airport. No need to fuss with unreliable shuttle services or overpriced services.
