exchange rates

I have just begun to explore my upcoming trip to Greece and Amsterdam in October. I'm checking on getting from Crete to Amsterdam and found a site that quotes prices in 'GBP' - what does this stand for, And, how do I learn what the conversion is? I'm sure there are websites that are out there.
Thank you for your help.

GBP are Great Britain Pounds.

One site for conversion is www.xe.com. Just type in the amount, which currency you are going from and to, and hey presto, you've got it.

Even easier: in the Google search box type "100 GBP for dollars" and you will be given the exchange rate.
