Everything Sherlock Holmes
Hi everyone, I will be in London for 3 weeks with a friend of mine. We are both really big Sherlock Holmes fans... we have read every one of the books. We are wanting to know about everything Sherlock Holmes in London!
We are planning on going to the museum and the pub.
What other Sherlock Holmes sites are their to see.
Is their a Sherlock Holmes tour of London?
I read somewhere that their was a hansom carriage like Watson and Holmes rode in, that is available for rides, anyone know anything?
I read that on Tuesday nights their is a quiz game at the pub, anyone know about that... kinds of questions, is it crowded, is it fun?

If you are into or know anything about geocaching, there is a multi cache in London based on Sherlock and takes you round a chain of 6 different sites relating to him - see the following link for the first in the chain.

Well if you want to do some Holmes site seeing your self there is the:
- Old Charing Cross Hospital where Watson leaned his trade – this is now Charing Cross Police Station.
- Eat at Simpson’s on the Strand
Also there are a number of books that guide you though the London sites associated with Holmes and Watson

At the Criterion Bar in Piccadilly there was a plaque affixed to the wall commemorating the meeting there of John Watson and Stamford, dresser at Bart's, who "introduced him to Sherlock Holmes and immortality."
A wonderful bit of silliness. Not sure if it survived the renovation a few years back.
