Evenings in London

I've learned a whole lot as to what to do and see during our 7 day trip to London. How about night activities in London? Where are some of the spots that you would most recommend seeing them at night?

Theatre and concerts. Some museums are open late 1 night a week.

You might wish to consider Original Londo Walks walking pub tours (look them up on the internet)....I think the walks are now up to 6 quid. The pub walks, one of my favourites is the along the Thames walk, generally go through an area with stops at 3 different pubs. The guide describes the beers served at the pubs and makes suggestions...you spend about twenty to twenty-five minutes at each pub and then continue walking through the area. They are a lot of fun, you meet some interesting people, both other tourists and locals at the pubs, and they are cheap.

For something a bit different, perhaps you would like to attend some of the numerous free lectures in London. For the list, please check: http://victorianresearch.org/lectures.html.

We usually go to the theater in the evening a few times while in London. You can also get tickets (free) to the Ceremony of the Keys at the Tower (I highly recommend it - just do a search here for info on it).

If you will be in London during the times that the Globe theater is staging performances, I highly recommend it. I went out of curiousity, more expecting it to be a tourist trap, and was astonished to the extent I felt I learned something new about theatre.
