Eurostar London to PAris 1-way

Planning to travel to PAris in mid April and wondered if anyone knows how to get discount tickets one way. The Eurostar website quotes about 200 Euro as cheapest one way ticket. I've seen great deals at Victooria station when last in London for all kinds of packages. Is there an equivalent of a 'bucket shop' for the train?

I am buying a round trip day trip ticket for $90 and "forgetting" to go back!

While BMI is cheaper there is the airport hassle to consider in your cost.

Hi Carol,

Is that really 90 dollars or 90 pounds?

The cheapest I found for RT was 80 GBP.

Don't ask me why, but a round trip ticket is cheaper than one way. You can also check with raileurope.

It was $90 but this was about 6 months ago.... who knows what it would be now. (I was going from Paris to London so that could explain the difference!)

I booked a few weeks ago roundtrip for $94.00 US using single day round trip option for first of May. I would imagine that you could "forget" to return.....

Not only can you forget to return, but you can buy the two tickets segments in different classes. You can go first class and (not) return second.

Ira, where did you find a RT rail ticket from London to Paris for 80 pounds?? That such a great price. I am finding you have to book in advance for these day or overnight trips. Second class sells out very fast.

I went to www.eurostar.com. Under country, click on UK.

The price was for travel on April 14.

We booked a round trip London to Paris for mid-April for $90. The next day they emailed us back and said because of Easter vacation all specials are gone. Price is now $360. We are shopping for an alternative.

I get a kick out of people who say it's cheaper and quicker to fly. When I add an hour to get to a London airport from central London, arrive two hours before the flight, and allow an hour to get to downtown Paris from CDG, it takes longer door to door!! And if I go by car service or taxi at each end, the cost becomes pretty comparable too. I find the train a whole lot less hassle that flying.

Ditto, Patrick! Though now saying "Ditto" might put me into a political group that I want no part of!
