Euros to Europe?
I needed to send a deposit, in Euros, within seven days of booking a gite in France. No credit cards accepted.
It takes 2 to 3 days to get a Euro-denominated check from a bank, so, with the mail delay, would probably take too long. US money orders and Western Union seem to only work in $.
Any experience with some way to do this?

the gite cannot tell you an account number where you can put the money ? It will have some expenses but I cannot think in anything better. Anyway, it sounds strange to me that Western Union can't do it.

I dont think international money orders are accepted in France. I have gotten a check written in euro while waiting from Thomas Cook in the US. They are now Travelex. It isn't cheap due to a flat fee and some exchange rate thaty isnt great, but it works. The flat fee isn't so bad if it's a large amount. I had one where I live in the US, they are in large cities.
