My husband and I are going to Italy for 10 days. We fly into Florence, then head down to Rome, and from there to Capri via Naples. Is it worth getting Eurorail tickets or buying tickets for each train ride separately? Thanks!

I've never heard of Eurorail, but assume you mean a reseller such as RailEurope. Most resellers markup the price and tack on a mailing fee.

Trenitalia is the rail company for Italy, but will not process most non-European credit cards so their online website is only useful for times/prices.For all trains/times/prices to show, you need to enter a date within 7 days. You can easily buy your tickets in Italy.

Florence/Rome is about 44€ on the fast train and so is Rome/Naples.

No such thing as Eurorail to my knowledge, but at any rate you should just buy your tickets once you get there.

I think the reference is to a Eurail pass.

You can purchase all of the tickets for your train travel segments at the train station in Florence. There is an English language window that may be helpful and I would have details of the trains you want to purchase tickets for written down so there are no issues.

You can also go to any travel agency in Florence that has the Trenitalia logo on their window and purchase tickets there - at no additional fee.
