Have a great trip, cmt! Didn't realize when you said you're leaving SOON, you really meant SOON!

I'll post a clue later when I think of one.

Ok, I'm back.

Surprised that no one searched for this, but Google gives the answers right away.

Thanks yk. Maybe just part of it. The whole thing is too long to post, but I'm subjecting my friends to it.

I'll try to post a clue later.

Ok, notes on the 8th day here:

http://www.fodors.com/forums/pgMessa...p;tid=34534408

If anyone bothered to read the report, this clue will be very easy.

Clue: Spanish chef (first name = 6 (2nd of which = "e&quot, second name = 5) who cooks at (2 words, 2, 5), a couple of hours away from Barcelona, and widely regarded today as one of the best chefs in the world.

I'm pretty sure my answers are correct, so I'll post the next clue.

This (nationality: 8) composer (who has debuted in earlier threads) composed this music piece (title: 9 letters) which tells the story of a woman wandering in a forest looking for her lover.

The libretto was written by (5,10) who reportedly was connected to this famous neurologist (same nationality of the composer), father of psychoanalysis.

Composer: 10 ("r" is 9th letter)
Music piece: 9 ("r" is 2nd letter)
Librettist: 5,10

"r" from Ferran Adria

To add a few more clues to the above:

The music piece will be performed this month by a famous US symphony, whose conductor (9) has made an earlier debut on this thread.

The soprano (7,5) for that concert is an American diva, who has a fall out with a prestigious european opera company several months ago due to her "appearance".

Conductor (9, "r" is 3rd letter)
Soprano (7,5; "r" is 5th letter of first name)

Oh, the soprano is obviously Deborah Voigt -- Covent Garden (?) refused to let her perform in a Strauss (?) opera because she was too fat.

I need to research the rest. Opera isn't really my thing.

Conductor is Barenboim, I bet. It fits the clue.

So this probably means the symphony orchestra is the CSO (Chicago).

Piece is (Austrian, but probably naturalized as American, composer) Schoenberg's "Erwantung." I've heard of it but haven't heard it.

Clue: Architect (last name: 9 letters, 2nd = "a&quot whose name one should recognize because of a recent international event (hint...).

An earlier work from over 10 years resulted in a bridge (name of bridge: 8 letters) in this city (city: 7 letters), which spans the (10 letters) river. The work resulted from building from an event called the (4 letters).

A minor note, the Schoenberg piece is spelled Erwartung (in case anyone is interested).
