Europe Trip Summer 08'

I want to go to Europe next summer, 2008, towards end of June beginning july. I have never been and was wondering if anyone had any good advice or tips that would be helpful. I was also looking for a few people to go with. If any young people are interested that would be great!!! =]]]

Start at your library...try a tourist agency...investigate guided tours. Use 'search'. Read a newspaper 'travel section'.

You need to work out a few more details first, like...

- how long for ?

- do you want to keep moving & see as much as possible, or build in relaxation time ?

- which country/ies ? Europe comprises several dozen countries

- if more than one country, would you want to travel between them by train / plane / ?

- within your chosen country/ies, do you want to see the major cities, drive round the countryside, spend time at a beach or what ?

- do you have any 'must-sees' ?

- an idea of budget - how much per night for accommodation ?

- hot places ? cool places ?

I agree w/ the others - you need to do a LOT more work if you hope to get much help. Your question is MUCH to general/vague.

(and how do you hope to convince someone else to travel w/ you w/o ANY sort of ideas of what/where you are going? )

A good way to start organizing you thoughts is to drop by a travel agent's office and pick up some brochures from the "Big Bus Tours". Read the descriptions of the places they take people on a tour and see what interests you and start narrowing down from there. The Big Three (London, Paris, Rome) are the big three because lots of people like to go there. That is a good place to start.

Two big questions are how long do you have to stay and how much money do you have to spend. The time period you outlined is the high season so costs will be at their peak for air and hotels.
