In my earlier post I mentioned a funny thread called, "don't want to get arrested at the airport." When I checked in this morning a new troll had topped that thread. He was asking for help to escape the US and go to Finland, all due to a fine of $650 he owes and supposedly can't pay. This poster used vulgar language and made some obscene references to women in Finland. I was hoping only his post would be deleted, but unfortunately the entire thread was nixed.
....Oh, well, we still have many more to laugh about.

I have been searching for some of my dads (FAMOUSUNCLEART) stories to reminisce with him while he is recuperating from an illness; it is encouraging for him when people appreciate what he writes. I am printing this and cresfloors comments to help cheer him up and motivate him for another trip. Thanks!

The rumors of my demmise are greatly exaggerated. (apologies to Mark Twain) I have had a bout of shingles. It does have an intrinscic ring to it..think of jingles (my favorite rhyming word for my least favorite impairment...to say nothing of tingles, mingles, singles (of which I am one) and pringles (which I love because they all look alike).
At first I was afraid I would die and then afraid that I wouldn't.
Because of it, yeadonite and I could not even plan a month or two ahead for a home exchange.
But she nursed me back to health (as good as it gets at my age (don't ask)We are beginning to look forward to another trip in 2006.
