Europe or S. America for anniversary trip, 4 nights?

Expect maximum temperatures around 50*F in Amsterdam end of March. Usually light clouds with the odd shower.
Sunrise at 7:30 AM, sunset 8 PM (local summertime) so plenty of light hours and growing ~4 minutes per day.
Unfortunately, the Rijksmuseum doesn't open in its new configuration until April 13 and may even be closed entirely in March - they need time to move things from the Philips wing into the rest of the museum. Best to check opening hours with the museum in advance.
On the other hand, the van Gogh collection will be shown in its new housing in the Hermitage.
