We stayed there in July and it was great. Our rooms faced the canal so we had a beautiful view day and night. The breakfast buffet was good and the staff polite and attentive. It was about 2 blocks from the tram lines and from many, many good restaurants. I think you will enjoy it there.

Gina, <BR>Ursula was right with website. Located overlooking the Singel. Many renovated rooms, yes to elevator, private baths, breakfast not included (add NLG 27,50pp). Standard room NLG 420, delux dbl NLG495. Reasonable compared to other places we looked at. Good luck.

We stayed there March '00 and loved it. There are many restaurants right in the area. There's a bunch along the streets directly behind the hotel. Also some along the canal. Indonesian food is very good in Amsterdam.
