Enough time from Heathrow to Paris -help!
My flight on United is arriving at Heathrow at 6:30am. We want to get to Paris, but haven't decided if we should go by air or by the Eurostar.

The British Airways flight from Heathrow leaves either at 9:05, 10:15, 14:15 to CDG - if my plane arrives at 6:30am, do I have enough time to board the 9:05 or 10:15 flight? How long does it take to get your luggage or go through customs?

The other option is the Eurostar, but we will have to get from Heathrow to Waterloo - how long will it take us to get out of the airport?

Any advice is great!!

If you fly you shouldn't have to collect your luggage or go through customs; you will do that in Paris. You should also be able to go through immigration in Paris as the UK is not on the common visa scheme.

Youu should make the 9:05 flight with ease, but you will probably have to change terminals.

Hi Anna,

United arrives at Terminal 3. BA to CDG leaves from Terminal 4. You should be able to get your luggage checked through to Paris but will probably hoave to get your BA boarding pass at the BA transfer desk- follow signs for Flight Connections-Terminal 4 and a bus will take to to the airside of T4.

It can be a bit of a walk from your arrival gate to the bus depending on which gate United arrives at ( probably the furthest away one like Virgin this morning returning from Boston but 905 is plenty of time.

Happy New Year!!

We arrived at Gatwick at 6:55am, grabbed the Gatick express, then a cab directly to Waterloo and the Eurostar
twice. We were able to get a train before 10am. I can't remember the exact time. Heathrow express takes only 15 minutes to Paddington, grab a taxi to Waterloo there. You should easily be able to get the Eurostar by 10am.You need to be at Eurostar 20 mins. before departure. Also, add some extra time if you have to pick up your ticket. Last time the tickets were sent to us here so we did not have that to think about. I liked being on the train, lots of room to stretch out after being cramped in the air. We took a nice nap both times and arrived fairly fresh.

We were thinking about the Eurostar for the comfort factor, but since this is my first time to Europe, I was looking for the easiest way to get to Paris - not having to leave Heathrow was a definete plus!

I could really catch the 9:05 flight? I heard others on this board say that you need a couple of hours just to get out of heathrow?
