Ah, nursing and residential homes prefer not be associated with funeral vehicles - I think it gives them bad impressions. Same with hospitals. Funeral directors use a non-descript van to collect the deceased from the mortuary.

There's a man near me that uses an old hearse for his carpet-laying business (handy shape, you see): it's covered in adverts with terrible puns (&quot;laying to rest&quot;, that sort of thing).

thanks for bringing up memories of those antique cable systems that transported the customers cash to yes a lady in a box above the store floor to i guess audit and send back change and receipt

Last i saw that was in the late 60s - just in one store

but yes as a child it did fascinate me that system - and the vacuum tubes which banks now use for the drive up customers but not quite the same as watching the thing go along wires to that lady up there.
