EJA/Netjets to Italy
I have a friend that I have not known to long but become chummy with a feel close to this person.
We get along great, so much so, I had no idea this person was wealthy and is now asking me if I want to accompany her around on a few trips.
She is going to the US and coming back to Italy using netjets.
She says she is part owner.
Huh?????????????
Yea, I am stunned.
Anyway, I have never heard of them and would like to know if any of you have.

There seems to be a lot of affluent people on this board and I thought some of you may know something more personal that what I have read about them online.

We would be going to Italy ( I think landing in Milan).
Have any of you done this?
Does anyone know anyone working at this company?
Would you think it is safe?
I have only ever traveled on commercial carriers in economy.
What do you all think about flying into Milan? My friend said we could land at any airport, but I think I'd feel better at a bigger one.
I hope some of you know something more than I.
Thanks for any help.

Actually NetJets are an old client of mine.

They specialise in fractional ownership, so it's basically like buying a part share in a private jet (except you don't buy into one jet, you buy into their fleet).

For the seriously wealthy only their clients include people like Pete Sampras.

So if you don't want to go, I'll happily step in.

Kate,

Have you actually flown with them or ordered a flight for someone else?
Do you still deal with them?
I know they are a frac company, but wanted to know how people felt flying with them.
The internet says they fly smaller jets and I am surprised they make it overseas. I wonder if we have to stop often to refill.
Thanks.
No, I'm afraid I haven't had the privilege of flying with them. Yes, some of their aircraft are large enough for transatlantic.

They are owned (and used) by Warren Buffet, the world's second richest man, so if he's ok with them, I'm sure you will be.

Are you a nervous passenger or something?

Ah, now I understand. Well, their planes are smaller private aircraft rather than large commercial airliners, so I can understand your reservations if you're a nervous passenger, but their safety record is very good.

If you're nervous about flying, then I guess nothing I can tell you about NetJets will ultimately make you feel comfortable at take-off. I suggest tranquilizers.
