tC: I think Liz added her concerns because of a trip in Ireland.
If I understand it correctly, she added her concerns to an old threat about EF. I think we should address Liz' concerns since the original poster proably won't return.

"Do realize that prices for everything are likely to be higher in europe than in the US - at least 30% due to the low value of the dollar - and also simply due to higher prices - even in central europe"
I very much disagree about that based upon my experience in Chicago about two months ago.
There are some items which are much cheaper in the US. But others aren't. If you consider taxes and the extremely high tips you're expected to pay, I think that at least pubs and restaurants the Chicago area aren't cheaper than where I live.

This supposed young person also posted in the US board for information on the EF tour, and was less than well written.
We're being taken for a stroll, methinks. Supposedly "well travelled" and with a 'good palate" needing great food. On a tour? Puhleeze. Adequate and covered would be my take on it, and especially for teenagers. Just among other things our troll is taking us on.
AND when I went on my college tour, I had a GREAT time--saw things, enjoyed my confreres and learned a LOT--on a real tour.
