Edinburgh Accomodations

Anyone with suggestions for accommodations in Edingurgh. We will have a group of about 5 or 6.

We had a great spot on the royal mile in university accommodations (we were a family of four). Travel agent arranged them, but I suspect you could contact the University (of Edinburgh) directly, and see if the timing/school calendar work with your time.

BUDGET? and your preferences would be helpful???

I could suggest a private castle for $1000s a day or I could recommend a motel by the airport that will cost you minimal.....

Janis is right, we need your budget. Also whether you're inclined to go for a self-catering apartment, B&B, hotel or whatever.

However I'm not aware of Edinburgh featuring any motels or castles at $1000s per night.

I would LOVE to stay in a castle, however, I must remain realistic.

It would be best to remain under $100USD per person. We will only be spending one night.

If you are willing to share rooms, as in 2 per, then the Caledonian Hilton on Priness street may fit the bill. Very nice location, with some luck a room with a view of the castle, walking distance to major shopping/sightseing areas, and finally a very nice hotel. They are showing rates of ~120BPs per night = ~$200.
