easyjet, vueling or alitalia
Hi ,
thinking of doing rome - paris -venice route , would be taking either of these airlines.
Alitalia is almost 1.5 times the other two.
But I believe easyjet flies from CIA , rome and in paris goes to ORY.
Any suggestions on these airlines invited.

Take the cheapest one....
Easyket fine, NOt heard anything bad abut Vueling, Believe Alitalia has improved.
Actually I'd take the train, given the choice....less hassle, more views, more comfortable and helps to preserve what's left of the planet.

Have you looked into the cost of changing your transatlantic flights? Sometimes the penalty is cheaper than what you are contemplating, or the extra bucks worth it to avoid the hassels of airports. It would be much better if paris was either your entry airport or your departure airport.
Does Easy Jet or Vueling have luggage weight restrictions that you are sure won't exceed?
I hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe there are trains available from central Paris to Venice/Mestre that take 10 hours max, and cost around $150. Once you subtract what you will spend in time and money getting to and from airports, plus flying time, you might reconsider whether it would be more enjoyable to catch an 8am train in central Paris, relax and watch the scenery go by until 6pm, and arrive in Venice in time for the cocktail hour and dinner.

The cheapest airline will be fine for such short flights -- if the baggage allowance is sufficient for you.
The CEO of Alitalia is trying to get the company completely merged into Air France-KLM as soon as possible but Berlusconi is fighting the idea as much as possible.

I have taken Vueling from FCO to Orly..Reliable airline.
I flew with Alitalia many many years ago and I may flight with easyJet next year.
Take the plane is much much faster.
About luggage..this is from Vueling Air.
<Baggage weight per passenger: In the cases where this is not already included in the fare by default, each passenger can check-in (by paying a variable supplementary fee depending on the particular characteristics of each flight) a piece of baggage weighing up to 23 kg. By paying an additional amount, the Passenger can increase their suitcase weight to 32 kg.>

I have flown Vueling, easyjet, and Alitalia often. If I had my choice, I'd drop Alitalia from the list. Their service standards, on-time stats, and just plain courtesy are lacking - even after the merger with AirOne. Not to mention, you get to pay far more for their poor performance, in an older plane, than their competitors.
We've flown the Vueling route from FCO to Orly and I agree with the poster above. I'd RATHER fly into Orly than CDG (world's worst airport IMHO). Plus you're closer to downtown Paris from Orly. Vueling did an excellent job - we also often fly them into Barcelona from FCO.
We are regulars on Easyjet. They are like the "Southwest Airlines" of Europe. I'd certainly rather fly them than Ryanair- and I've never had a bad experience on easyjet. Both Vueling and easyjet flyer newer aircraft than Alitalia. We've done roundtrips to Venice from Rome for under €55 on easyjet.
The budget airlines do tag you for EVERY fee - checking luggage, using a credit card, reserving a seat, etc. So be prepared to NOT pay the list price - but still most of the budget airlines we fly in Europe outperform the Alitalia's of the world and are much cheaper. We're flying CPH to Berlin in January for $83 ROUNDTRIP - that includes all luggages, CC charges - everything! If you book in advance on the budget airlines, you can get some great deals.
