Have heard Easyjet is a great way to get around some parts of Europe, but have no first hand knowledge. Thoughts?

Thoughts about what? It is one of the largest airlines . . .

Just read the terms re luggage (both checked and cabin) and check in requirements.

Great information, unfortunately my date is a week later, so I will keep an eye out in November.

I really am not sure what you've heard -- but easyJet flies just about everywhere - like 700+ routes

No sure about the point of this post. It's a well-established budget airline, no secret, dirt cheap mostly as long as you abide by their rules. I'm booked for a Basel-Lisbon roundtrip for about CHF80, have done other similarly cheap flights - no frills, no pampering, like a bus with wings.

You asked this on another thread but your name is a riff on a whisky distillery that in southwest Scotland, Bladnoch. Thanks for the Gaelic clue.

It's like any regular airline, have no idea what a bus with wings means. It is not any different from any legacy airline I've flown short distances in Europe. The only difference is you have to pay separately for a seat reservation and baggage check, but nowaedays, you have to pay for one or both of those on many regular airlines, actually.

IN fact, some buses are pretty nice and have more leg room than airplanes, anyway.

I've flown them several times, it's my preferred airline within Europe, if they have a route that is suitable.
