Easy Jet to Nice from Luton or Gatwick?
I'm just about to buy an Easy Jet ticket for a London-Nice flight. I can fly from Luton or Gatwick for the same price. I will be staying in South Kensington. Which airport is the most convenient?

I'm sure there are many ways to do this, but here is how I would get to each airport.
Luton:
Get on the Piccadilly Line at Gloucester Road. Take the tube to Kings Cross. Follow the signs to get to the train part of the station, and buy a ticket to Luton Parkway. At Luton Parkway, get the shuttle bus to Luton Airport. I think this would take about 80 minutes, and assumes you have light enough luggage to get on the tube easily. Total time if all goes well will be about 80 minutes. Total cost will be about 12 pounds.
Gatwick:
From Gloucester Road, take the Circle/District line tube to Victoria. Follow the signs to get on the Gatwick Express. Total time if all goes well will be about 55 minutes. Total cost will be about 14 pounds.
So in short I would go with whatever airport has the most convenient times.

I also recommend Gatwick over Luton - easier to get there, especially when you are carrying luggage. I just remember a lot more running around and more staircases to contend with in getting to Luton.

The one time I flew out of Luton I used a car service from my flat in Covent Garden for a total price of 35 pounds. If there are two of you, it would certainly be worth it for convenience. Yes, there is a lot of transferring with luggage to get to Luton.
On the other hand, public transportation is certainly easier to Gatwick from most of central London.
