Easter in Mallorca 2020
#2
There are lots of local events for Easter in most of the towns across the island and certainly in Palma itself. See https://rove.me/to/mallorca/semana-santa-and-easter
There is also https://www.abc-mallorca.com/easter-mallorca/ to have a look at and don't miss the carrying of the Christ down the 365 Calvary steps in Pollensa. Very atmospheric!

It'll get worse before it gets better, but fortunately at the moment there are no cases on the Balearic Islands. The Madrid area is the worst affected buy there are a few cases in Catalonia.

"Must have checked an old list"
Indeed. Things change rapidly.
I should have written:
There are actually
22 cases in the Balearic Islands
350 cases in Catalonia and Valencia
1400 cases in Madrid
about 3000 infected people, 90 deads (2 of them in the Balearic Islands) and 190 healed for the whole Kingdom.
But we are just at the beginning. These numbers will grow continuously during weeks.

I wouldn't plan a trip anywhere in Europe at the moment. Neither of my daughters is planning to come here this summer, unless there is a dramatic improvement in the situation, and they can get last-minute tickets.
Even people who are already in Europe should just stay home.

I agree completely. We had three groups of American friends coming to visit in April, May, and June. All have wisely canceled. We have canceled plans for Spain in May and are keeping a careful eye on the situation with regard to a potential trip to Sicily in September. We just came back from a week in Paris last week, and that will be our final jaunt around France for the time being, unless we have important doctor's appts. in Bordeaux. We're pretty cut off from everyone here, so I'm not particularly worried, but I'm not keen to spend time on trains and certainly not airports.
