Early Check In

Hi
I was wondering whether the Montague on the Gardens usually lets you check in early. I will probably be at the hotel around 9 am. Thanks

keena,

Don't you think your best information would come from the hotel? Why don't you ask them?

Most hotels will store your bags. You can then go out and see the area and then return later.

Usually if you will be arriving early and want access to your room, you should pay for the previous night.

That said, and if you choose not to, then if upon arrival there is a (your) room available, you can probably check-in. If not, the hotel will allow you to leave your bags. You can freshen up in the bathroom - splash water or face, freshen makeup?, change clothing go get the "eau de boeing" off your body.

Then go out and investigate your surroundings, have breakfast or lunch.

Check-in is probably not till 12N or later which you should check with hotel. When you return from a run-thru of the area, your room should be ready.

I don't know the Montague, but I think it partly depends on the size of the hotel. We went to London recently and stayed at a hotel with 170 rooms. We requested and early check in and were told that they would know on the day if this was possible - happily it was, so we were able to unpack and shower at 10:00 in the morning, which was wonderful.

I agree that it depends on the size and activity at the hotel.
If the hotel is not fully occupied or people check out early and there's time to service the room, you'll get in earlier as well.
If the hotel is very busy and people check out late, they will need a few hours to prepare the room.
Put in the request; it can't hurt.
