The "bargain" factor depends on where you live. If your local municipality has outragous taxes on top of the state and federal taxes (I'm talking about US), then the duty free cigarettes and booze are a good bargain.
Cigarettes are a good buy, if you need them, as they are light to carry and since you are only allowed (I believe) 200 cigarettes, it's not much of a problem. Booze (I believe) limit is 2 liters or something close to it, but many times tha $5-10 savings means that you have to carry 2 heavy bottles around through airports if you have connections. IMHO, not worth it, unless my final destination is the next airport.
If you live outside US, the limits as to how much you can bring in to your country are pretty much the same, so trying to find out how much you will save on a carton of cigarettes is really a waste of time. Once you get there, it should be an easy decision to make based on how much you pay at home, unless you are trying to smuggle back a suitcase full of cigs, in which case the savings could be substantial, but it could cost you dearly if caught.

Your vocabulary and choice of brands sounds British or Irish.
I've no idea what Schiphol charges (they don't list cigarette prices in their web site), but remember, if you're going to and from Holland from Britain or Ireland that "duty-free" isn't really available to you on a journey entirely in the EU, that if you buy cigarettes at a "duty free" outlet in the EU, you're often limited in quantities, and that prices in town for hooch and tobacco will be about the same as at Schiphol (and therefore a fraction of British or Irish prices), but you can bring back virtually unlimited quantities of cigarettes bought at ordinary shops.
And when I was in the business, convenience stores at petrol stations often had the lowest prices in Holland on tobacco.
If I've misunderstood your journey, and you're trying, say, to decide where to pick up your cigs on a flight from Bali to Dublin, you might find some help on typical Dutch prices at http://sigaretten.web-log.nl/

holland also has the lowest prices on cuban cigars other than spain...
the prices at Schiphol werent't appreciably less than in town for them. however, the prices for liquor were blow out cheap, a bottle of jameson irish whiskey was 13 euro as opp to 26 USD locally.
