SiobhanP, that's exactly the information I was looking for. Thanks for the informative post. I would like to fit in to the usual customs.
I'll be sure to write when I return and let you know about Jaipur. We'll be in England and Scotland after Ireland so it I'll have lots to tell. All the advice from this forum has been great.
