Hi bod,

www.viamichelin.com has both Croatia and Slovenia.

I would guess that www.mappy.com covers those countries.

Be aware that ViaMichelin's times are not realistic in Croatia. For example, it says that Split to Dubrovnik takes 2 hours 39 minutes, whereas all the posters here say at least 4 hours. In France and Italy, I always allow at least 25% longer than ViaMichelin estimates.

When we used viamichelin for trip planning in Germany, Austria, and France, we always took a little less time than the estimates. It just depends on your driving style. Of course, those estimates are actual, on-the-road driving time.

www.Maporama.com is another good site. In our experience, Bled to Plitvice is about 5 1/2 hours, Bled to Cortina is 3 1/2- 4 hours depending on the route. 111 through Southern Austria is absolutely beautiful. It is a slower road, but hooks right into the road to Kranska Gora which makes sense coming from Bled.

cheers,
Jan

Slojan, thanks for maporama.com. It spotted my address pretty precisely. I also like it shows street numbers. That's about its Maps fonction.

On Itineraries fonction, however, I can't find "via" (to calculate indirect routes). The site doesn't really have it or am I blid not to see it?

I can only tell you that a couple of years ago we drove from Bled to Cortina. We left after breakfast -- I'm guessing at about 9 AM. We stopped to get our vignette for Austria just before entering the highway. We stopped in Lienz and thought we'd walk around a bit, but couldn't find any parking places, so forged on to Cortina, where we arrived about noon. So I'd say it is certainly under three hours driving time for that route.
