Driving time from Naples

Message: Hello, Joedy and Joanne and others out there:
Does anyone know approximately how long it takes to drive from Naples to Sorrento and from Naples to Rome? Also, what is the driving time from Sorrento to Ravello? We are staying a week each in villas in Massa Lubrensa and San Montano (both not far from Sorrento) and plan to do many day trips in the area.
Thanks, Ann

Hi Ann!
Well! From Naples to Sorrento it takes between 30 mins to an hour, depending on whether you adapt to Naples driving quickly...or, if you are like me, I look at everything and take in the sights while i am driving or riding a train. From Naples to Rome it take between 2 and 3 hours. From Sorrento to Ravello it is about 40 mins. However, I highly recommend the train. it is much faster, runs frequently, and you don't have to worry about parking or auto theft (which can both be a problem, especially in Rome and Naples.)
I am stationed here in the US Navy and am rapidly and enthusiastically learning about the area. I will be here for 2 or 3 years and have the benefit of having made some Neapolitan friends that are real gems. If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me!

I am a living homage to every teacher, who, when asked by a student, "how do you spell such-and-such?" - - handed that student a dictionary.
Provide an answer to a driving question - - solve one trip's problems.
Provide a tool for answering those questions - - solve those problems for every trip.
I didn't post criticism without help.
She said - - and I quote, "We ... plan to do many day trips in the area"
Best wishes,
Rex
