Driving south in France

Hello there,

I recently found this message board and I'm looking for some help planning a short trip driving south of paris in france.

We have a little over a week and we are looking for ideas on what cities, or villages are the best to go to and for how long.

If anyone has done this, any infor or advice would be much appreciated.

You can email me at [email protected], and hopefully I can figure out how to get back to this post...

Thanks in advance.

I haven't driven much in France so I'll leave it to others to give you suggestions.

But how to get back to your thread -- if you click on your name it will bring up any thread where you have posted.

Also - it would be good to tell us what time of year is your trip . . . .

Reims would be a nice day trip or even an overnight trip.

I would ordinarily secon reims but since you have specified south I guess that Reims wouldn't qualify.

Question is "how far South?"

Would somewhere in the Loire Valley be too far for you?

Hi M,

You could take the train to Dijon and spend some time driving around Burgundy.

Ithink the question that needs answering is whether the OP means south of Paris or south of France--very different regions.
