Driving into CZ/Prague
It has been 5 years since I have driven in to CZ and to Prague. I just did a viamichelin routing and got a notation about a " CZ road tax disk". What is that--must be new? I assume something like the Austrian vignette. Who can enlighten me?

That's not so expensive, maybe you are confusing the exchange rate? 400 CK is only about US$16. If you plan on being there a while and driving around, even just a few days, that's not so expensive a surcharge. It is good for a year.

I have a page at <a href="http://www.livingprague.com/driving.....com</a> that details the driving info that you'll need. I came through Rozvadov twice in the last month. The first time I paid for a 10 day vignette (150kc) but in Euros so it worked out to paying 210kc. The last time I paid 150kc in Czech Korun. Remember to write your registration number or you'll pay the fine.

Used to drive a Skoda but, way too much power for me. On my drive from CZ to Germany this week I found that the motorway sticker tariffs have changed. Full list at www.livingprague.com/driving.htm. 10 Day sticker has now been replaced by a 15 day sticker. The month sticker has now been replaced by a 2 month sticker. Year sticker is unchanged. Police were checking at the Rozvadov border and were forcing people to buy a daily sticker if they did not have one. Maximum fine is still 15,000kc (15 day ticket is 200kc).
