Driving in Milan?

Hi all,

We are renting a car for a 3 week trip, and plan to spend most of it in Germany around Garmish and northern Italy. We will need to venture into Milan for a day or two to pick up a daughter at the airport. How crazy is there, any advice?
Thanks!

The airport is a long way from the center of town.

Hi tx,

Look at www.viamichelin.com and www.mappy.com.

You don't have to go into Milan.

It is 4 hr each way by car.

Have you considered having DD fly into Munich? She can connect via Milan.

See www.whichbudget.com

Hello txcandy, there is more than one airport that is considered a Milan Airport..although none of them are of course in the City of Milan. Which airport is your daughter flying into?

Milan has two airports, both are out of town, conveniently near the autostrada.

BTW, driving into Milan is not that bad...
