Driving from St Paul de Vence, through Italy to Mittenwald area, suggestions for a stop?
We'll be driving from St Paul to Krun a small town in southern Bavaria. It's a long haul, 710km. We'd like to stop for a nice lunch in a scenic area, but not off our path (too far) any suggestions? Please & Thanks.

It really depends on the route you select. Run viamichelin to see what they suggest. You have 2 options--either via Brenner pass or via St.Moritz. If the former, stop at Ortisei near Bolzano. If the latter,

Sorry--hit the button early.
I just did viamichelin and they say 467 MILES and 7:02. I always add 10% to their times, so over 8 hours plus stops. They route you via Genoa and the Brenner Pass--I agree. I would stop in Sirmione at the south end of Lago Garda, or at Ortisei in the Val Gardena near Bolzano, but it is less than 3 hours from Krun. Good luck !
