Driver's License in the Czech Republic

Our travel book indicates you must have an International Driver's License when driving in the Czech Republic. Is that really the case?

Thank you.

It is an International Driver's Permit -- not "License". Yes, you need one to drive legally. You can get one at any AAA office while you wait.

Indeed, if you are from a non EU country you will need a permit.

Hi cg,

An IDP is like insurance. You only need it when you need it. Pay the $15.
