Dresden's Hotel Martha Hospiz

Has anyone stayed at the Hotel Martha Hospiz? I only need a hotel for one night in Dresden. Since it's near the Neustadt Station, it would be convenient coming from the airport and leaving by train to Berlin. But would it be too far from the sights I'd want to see as a first time visitor?

Also, I'd appreciate any comments on the hotel itself: nice rooms, facilities, quiet, breakfast, etc. It's only 77 euro a night, but I'd be willing to pay more for something nicer in a better location. Any suggestions?

Yes, I stayed there. Liked it a lot. The breakfast room is BEAUTIFUL, breakfast plenty and good. I was on a very tight budget and stayed in their one room without adjacent bathroom (my choice). You may have one of their really nice ones?

It really IS convenient to the sights - just a short walk. Around the corner from the hotel are a couple of nice restaurants.
And yes, I came by bus from the airport. Easy to find.

If IŽd be to visit Dresden again IŽd probably stay there again.

Definitely confirm your reservation! It is one of the hotels I use to recommend here. Business colleagues of mine stayed there and loved it (it is NOT the typical business hotel!). It has a lot of charm and the rooms have a decent size and are very nice (with bathroom! ;-) ). Location is relatively quiet, the rooms to the garden are of course quieter than those to the (minor) street.

It is located in a very nice neighbourhood. Mostly 18/19th century, plenty of restaurants, cafes, galleries, shops etc. The major sights are about 10-15 min. to walk across the river. No deal.
