I've just clipped and saved Degas' diatribe -- who knows when something on this thread will get it deleted?

Degas, I hope you are saving your travel stories as posted on Fodor's for a book to be titled "Travel Tales of the WalMart Stud" or something to that effect. The things you have to go through, you poor dear.

Degas, I don't think your "friend" has to worry. Those back woods sherrifs probably smudged the prints anyway and unless they forward them to the FBI for inclusion in the national database (which they wouldn't do -- don't want those damn feds muckying in local bidness), there is nothing to worry about.

Very funny, Degas!

How about this as a suggestion? Different security lines for people who place a different priority on risk vs. speed? One one would have no security checks at all -- you'd just whisk right through -- but then you'd be forbidden from suing anyone once your plane was hijacked and crashed into a building. How many people do you think would choose that line?

Are Degas and NYfoodSnob and NYfood Snub the same person?

And somebody mentioned orange terror alert. Don't you people know the color has been changed to black and white? (because of mad cow disease)

Wojazz -- why wouldn't I believe a woman on a plane? Do you think she was spreading false rumors to discredit Dean -- on the plane? She didn't stand up and make an announcement. Dean's name came up and she told her story.

Now, this was a year ago and Dean wasn't much of a contender then. Maybe the story made the local papers in New Hampshire? I didn't ask. I thought, hmmmm, interesting and that was that.

Degas:

I think you're just upset because the screeners didn't find you interesting enough to do a full strip search.

Better luck next trip.
