Dordogne 4 days..where to stay
We will have 4 days to spend in the Durdogne region. We especially want to get to Rocamadour and Lascaux II. Is it possible to center so that we don't need to move every night? If so, suggestions? what else will we not want to miss? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Any wonderful B and B in the area?

Hi Jean,
Have you entered "Dordogne" in the "search this forum" box?
There have been several threads on where to stay in the Dordogne.
It is only 62 km from Rocamadour to Lascaux II, you could stay anywhere.
When will you be going?

Hi GP,
Last week in Sept is good, because most of the tourists have gone home.
We will be staying at the Hotel Bonnet in Beynac-et-Cazenac this Sept.
Beynac is a few km South of Sarlat-la-Caneda.
If you enter just "Beynac" at mappy.com you get the wrong Beynac.
Also look up Vezac, Vitrac, Sarlat, La Roque Gageac, Domme

Get a map. Draw a 30-mile half-circle to the west, north, and south of Sarlat, and that's the half-circle you want to stay in. Beynac, Domme, La Roque-Gageac, Le Bugue, St-Cyprien, Les Eyzies, Vitrac....those are are areas you're going to want to concentrate on.
Rocamadour is not in the Dordogne, btw. There are countless threads on this board about what not to miss in the Dordogne, as well as numerous ones listing wonderful B&Bs and hotels. The search function isn't all that great, but it should give you a lot of info.
