Do it the old fashion way to find the best prices.
Decide where you're going to and where from... then find the airport's web site itself and look up arrivals. That will help you weed out the expensive vs. inexpensive airlines. Save money by spending time.

Barcelona to Valencia it's an easy route by train too in case you don't find a suitable flight. It's an Euromed train (an almost "high speed" train) and it takes 3 hours. But there's a train almost every hour doing that route in case you need it.
Anyway, if you can find a good price for your dates, flights are usually cheaper.

I booked a flight on Spanair last week round trip from Barcelona to Malaga. I checked Iberi and they seemed to have more flights leaving from Madrid. I also phoned Spanair with a question and out of curiosity checked on the air fare. Booking the same flight over the phone was twice as much as on line! I also found Kayak.com to be very helpful. Much luck! Mo

I'm searching now, through your options, for the best way to get to Valencia!!
