Dolomites in November?
Trying to book a room in castelrotto for early November. Seems like they turn out the lights in November, hardly anybody open. Anybody know a budget place for November? Also, is the Great Dolomite Rd. driveable then?

Here's their website:

Lovely place for the price, 5 mins from the centre.
If they're closed I suggest you contact the Castelrotto Tourist Office for a list of places that are open for your dates at:

Hope this helps ...

We drove the Great Dolomite Road from Bolzano to Cortina several years ago in mid-November. It was easily passable the whole way, although there was some snow and ice on the road going over the highest passes - more of a nuisance than a problem. I'm sure it's quite variable from year to year.

Hi,
While not in Castelrotto... we can recommend both the Garni Ariston in St. Christina (Val Gardena) and the Ciasa Montanara in La Villa (Alta Badia).
